[If you look in the background, you might see what looks like the wall of a hospital. Athrun himself is also dressed not in his own clothes, but rather a hospital gown.]

I don't know whether or not word about what happened in the gym in Vermilion City the other day...but it came under attack. I tried to stop it, and I did manage to, but I couldn't stop it from taking some damage. I don't know what happened to the perpetrator.

I apologize if this holds up anybody else's challenge. I know mine has been held up, as...you might be able to tell. Don't worry, I'll be all right.

Miki suggests taking a nap. It's easier for the body to heal when there's nothing on the mind except for the hopeful dreams of the future afufuu...

You shouldn't try to change the subject when it's so straight forward. A little bump against the head is nothing compared to what happened to you, Miki knows, but Miki is just fine.

That still doesn't mean I can't offer advice.

If you don't want Miki's head to hurt, then you should work on keeping that from happening and not by telling Miki what to do. [ A disgruntled noise comes from her throat as she leans back against the wall. ]

I'm in a hospital bed about ten feet away. How would I go about doing that?

Then let's try this: I don't need sleep. I got twelve hours of it after they brought me in, and plenty more last night. Right now, I'm wide awake.

[ This is why she's insisting he should sleep. He's so quick to annoyance and she has absolutely no idea why that is. ]

Then what will you do in the meantime? There's no good magazines to read.

[A number of factors could be responsible. Hospital beds suck. The gym still took damage. The girl in front of him is being a brat. Take your pick.]

I could watch TV. Or I could talk to people, or browse my Pokédex. There's plenty of things I can do.

You'll just get annoyed at the news report on the television and keeping up to date with how hurt others are won't help you relax any. [ Harumph. ] Guess Miki will have to sit here and talk to you...
