[Athrun has not been seen much in the past 24 hours. He's been out searching for bombs, getting food, or getting rest. Finally, once 24 hours had passed, Athrun had gone home to get himself cleaned up.

So when his face appears on the screen, he has that fresh shower look.]

As you might have heard, the bomb threat was almost fully neutralized. We were able to find and disarm all but one of the bombs, which was apparently well-hidden inside a slot machine. But no one was seriously hurt in that plot, and the damage should be fixed quickly. I'm sorry for the worry that all of this caused.

All the bombs have been disposed of, except for two. The fuses have been cut, so there's no danger of a detonation. I plan to investigate the bombs and see if we can get any insight into who made them based on the structure and technology used. Would anyone like to give me a hand with this?

[Athrun gives Lacus the most reassuring smile he can muster.]

I'm fine. I'd just like a chance to relax, and having some friends around would help me do that.

... Shinn? Is he alright?

[ She was still worried ... she won't smile until she can see for herself that he is fine]

I will be there soon. Wait for me, okay?

Shinn's okay, too. He's a little more banged up than me, but it's all minor scratches and such.

I'll be waiting. I have nothing else on my plate for today, after all.

[ A few minutes later, Athrun will find Lacus knocking on his door. ]

Athrun? It's me, Lacus ...

[Athrun gets out of the chair he was sitting in and opens the door. A slight hint of aftershave floats in the air around him.]

I'm glad to see you in person. Please, come in.

[With that, he'll step aside to allow Lacus entry.]

[ Before she enters, both hands reached out to touch his face. She had just heard ... the operation was a success, but she remembered how scared she was knowing he was there. ]

Silly, after knowing what that man is capable of ... you didn't think I would be worried?

[ But she smiles softly. ]

But I knew you all could do it ...

No, I knew, because I know how you are. And I'm sorry to make you worry.

But your confidence in our abilities is always a welcome thing to have.

[ She pulled her hands away and entered the room. she felt much calmer now. ]

I have confidence because I know you well.

After everything I have seen you done at home ... and succeed you wouldn't fail there.

[Athrun closed the door behind Lacus. he motioned to encourage her to take a seat on the couch.]

I know. And even though I know, hearing it does wonders for a person's sense of pride.

[ And sat on the couch is exactly what she does. ]

Do you want to tell me what happened?

There's not really much to tell. Shinn and I got to work searching for and disarming the bombs. I had my entire Pokémon team out to protect us while we worked, and we got through without getting harassed.

It does sound like you had the whole situation under control ...

[ Pause. ]

Yes. It seems that no matter what world we're in, evil still persists. That's why we always need people who are willing to step up to the plate and do the right thing.

Mnm ... did you meet ... a woman named Saber ... or Fang there?

[Pause. Those were some weird names. Weird enough that they would stick out in his memory.]

I see. They are ... from the team I was placed in. I have come to understand them ...

They would not simply stand back and watch this occur.

Saber ... was in the play I was in a while ago in Ecruteak. I am not sure if she returned here yet ...

Fang ... I believe she may be here ... but I cannot be certain.

Well, regardless of where they are, just because I didn't see them doesn't mean that they failed to take action. Who knows? They might be planning something to strike back at the mastermind of the attempted bombing right now.

Perhaps ... I am worried about them, but ... they are strong women. I am sure they are fine ...

[ Inspecting his face and searching for injuries. ]

Are you sure you are alright?

Trust me, I'm fine. I've already tended to my hands and forearms, which is where I got scratched up.

May I see them?

...Well, all right.

[Athrun holds out his hands. Close inspection will reveal a number of scratches and small cuts, plus some small burns. The cuts and scratches are no longer bleeding and have been properly cleaned, and the burns have been treated with ointment.]

[ Lacus carefully touches the small injuries lightly. ]

These are definitely the hands of a soldier.
