[Athrun has not been seen much in the past 24 hours. He's been out searching for bombs, getting food, or getting rest. Finally, once 24 hours had passed, Athrun had gone home to get himself cleaned up.

So when his face appears on the screen, he has that fresh shower look.]

As you might have heard, the bomb threat was almost fully neutralized. We were able to find and disarm all but one of the bombs, which was apparently well-hidden inside a slot machine. But no one was seriously hurt in that plot, and the damage should be fixed quickly. I'm sorry for the worry that all of this caused.

All the bombs have been disposed of, except for two. The fuses have been cut, so there's no danger of a detonation. I plan to investigate the bombs and see if we can get any insight into who made them based on the structure and technology used. Would anyone like to give me a hand with this?

I see. Do you know whether or not they're currently in the city?

Saber ... was in the play I was in a while ago in Ecruteak. I am not sure if she returned here yet ...

Fang ... I believe she may be here ... but I cannot be certain.

Well, regardless of where they are, just because I didn't see them doesn't mean that they failed to take action. Who knows? They might be planning something to strike back at the mastermind of the attempted bombing right now.

Perhaps ... I am worried about them, but ... they are strong women. I am sure they are fine ...

[ Inspecting his face and searching for injuries. ]

Are you sure you are alright?

Trust me, I'm fine. I've already tended to my hands and forearms, which is where I got scratched up.

May I see them?

...Well, all right.

[Athrun holds out his hands. Close inspection will reveal a number of scratches and small cuts, plus some small burns. The cuts and scratches are no longer bleeding and have been properly cleaned, and the burns have been treated with ointment.]

[ Lacus carefully touches the small injuries lightly. ]

These are definitely the hands of a soldier.

You sound like you're looking at the callouses as much as you are the burns and cuts.

I am. I realized that ... in the two years I was one Earth, I didn't keep in touch as much as I had hoped.

This is a reminder to me that you had been trying your best even then.

Then that's just all the more reason to make up for lost time.

[Athrun turned his hands over to grab Lacus's.]

And one good thing about this place is that it gives us all the time we need.

[ She smiles and squeezes his hand gently. ]

It does. Though working at the cafe still keeps me busy, I am glad I can still talk to you like this.

I'm grateful for it, too. I've said it before, and I'll say it again -- you're the closest person to my heart in this world.

And you are the closest in mine as well. Please never forget that. You can always rely on me.

So, don't be too eager to look for trouble, okay? Be careful. If you're hurt I'd be devastated.

I won't be. I have a reason to keep living.
