[Video; Action for Vermilion City; backdated to yesterday evening]

[The feed opens up to a gorgeous sunset over the ocean. The sky is a brilliant red, the sinking sun is reflecting off the glittering waves...it was like what one would see in a resort commercial. The recorder seemed to be standing on a pier of some sorts as well, so there were multiple ships around.]

Pretty amazing, isn't it? With scenes like this, it's no wonder Vermilion City is known as the Port of Exquisite Sunsets. Don't worry, Yayoi, I'm saving this for you.

[With that, the camera turned around and showed Athrun, who was wearing his Orb military uniform. The sky behind him was a beautiful dark blue.]

I think that, out of all the places in this world, Vermilion City is the closest thing to where I live back home. It's good to be by the sea again, and there's plenty to do in town. If I truly am stuck here, I think this is where I'll want to live once I've beaten the Elite Four.

Out of curiosity, does anybody else here have a place like that? A place that resembles their home or that they'd like to live?

Also, on a different note, can anyone tell me about the gym leader here? Going by the sign near the gym, I suspect he uses Electric-types, but one can never be too sure.

Also, one more thing. Is he really a lieutenant?

I see. It's a shame it's so far from th nearest towns, though. Perhaps you'll find another town somewhere with a more accessible farm?

Yeah, it is. It even outdoes the sunsets I've seen at Olivine.

True, I might get bored without my workroom there, whenever I'm not being social or working with the animals. Maybe I'll just work there for some weeks and then I'll get back to a city. Or perhaps I'll really find another farm. ...Or get the HM Fly and teach it to my Altaria. [Wow, suddenly she has options. Usually she's just stuck in Resembool if Ed's stupidity doesn't happen. And she's going to get the HM anyway.]

Geez, I need to get into those cities someday to see the ocean and the sunsets.

It'd be worth it. Traveling here is a wonderful experience.

Yep, same thing in my home where the whole house, including most of my room, is full of automails and everything a mechanic needs for her work.

Think of it as electrically powered artificial limbs, that you can move with your will because they get the electricity is created by the movement of muscles~! They can also perform movements that aren't possible with the normal human body.

[...Oh wow, she's almost calm. For now. Still as excited as ever to explain about her masterpieces, but not flying to another galaxy...]

Oh, so prostheses. I've never been terribly into medical science, but I know a man back home with an artificial left arm. You can't even tell it's artificial, either.

Oh, I skipped the obvious word... Yes, prostheses. [Someone who knows something about them? This rings a bell, a girl - or a young woman, on Winry's first post knew about them too.] Wow, I think you're the second person I've talked to who knows them. Miss Lacus was first.

[That catches him by surprised, and it's evident on his face.]

Really? Well, that makes sense...she and I come from the same world. I had no idea you were acquainted with her.

Oh, so you know her... Er, I've talked with her once, so far. She welcomed me back to Johto in May, and I really want to talk with her more often.

I can understand why. She's a wonderful person.

Well, based on that one conversation we had -- she seems to be one of the sweetest persons I've ever met. So sure, I'll believe you.

Yep, that sounds like Lacus, all right. She's got a pure heart and is the most idealistic person I've met, but she understands people extremely well.

Sounds like you two are close. I'm pretty sure I won't disagree with you once I get to know her more. [Why would she disagree with you about Lacus? No reason.]

We're from the same world. We've known each other for the past six years back home, and we've been through a lot together.

[...Right, she just heard about the being from the same world part before.]

Sounds a lot like two brothers from my hometown, except they've known each other for more than six years... [...just the two brothers? Geez, she should give herself more credit than that.] And me included, though they've been through a lot more than me, and a lot more than what they tell me.

Even that sounds a little different from things back home for me. Lacus is a close friend of mine, but she isn't my closest friend.

[A little apologetic look.]

[Athrun recalls a time when it almost was the opposite, but there's no point on dwelling on what could have happened.]

Indeed. And I consider myself lucky to have a close friend here with me.

It's always great to have your close friends around. Mine weren't here when I came back, but they followed soon after me. I'm used to them not being in around, because they enjoy traveling too much, but being in a whole different world without them... [She shakes head. She should be used to it, they never even call, but still.]

It's still nice to know your friends are accessible.
