Given that the radio tower here in Goldenrod is already broadcasting on multiple frequencies, and the sheer size of the city and the fluctuating electrical currents that would cause, I'd imagine the bombs share receivers -- if they're not all connected to one receiver -- in order to cut down on unnecessary electromagnetic interference. That means they'd have to be not only close to each other, but to the intended target.
