Sorry, but could I borrow a moment of your time?

Lately I've been thinking about it, and because of the distances involved in travel here, and the difficulty in getting a Pokémon to fly you places, I've decided I want to open up a travel service here in this world. For now, it'd only cover Johto -- until I can actually get some exploration of Kanto in.

Of course, with the number of refugees here, I'd never be able to handle this all by myself. So, I'm looking for people that'd be willing to work for me in that kind of a job. All you need is at least one Flying-type -- and if you're a trainer, a Zephyr Badge. I have the necessary HM, and I'd be more than happy to lend it to you so you can help out.

No, you don't. Only trainers do.

So, how exactly does the move fly work? Is it any different than just having a flying pokémon carry you if it's big enough?

It's...hard to explain, but with Fly, you can bypass trees too thick to travel through, as well as mountains.

... And they can't fly the tries anyway?

Not while you're riding them.

I see. I guess we really would be too heavy then... though how does learning a move change that?

I'm not sure myself. I just try to not think about it too much, since this world is based off a video game.
