[Another day, another repetition of the routine that Athrun has let himself fall into. He's been focusing on his job and his training, while waiting for the Elite Four to declare that they are accepting challengers.

However, as Athrun walks, dressed in the clothes he got for Christmas, something red catches his eye in a nearby window display. He looks over at it.

Valentine's Day...

[That's right, he had forgotten. In the pursuit of more funds and more strength, he'd lost track of the date.

But unlike some people, Athrun felt a wave of melancholy wash over him as he realized that Valentine's Day was only two weeks away. It wasn't because of his lack of a girlfriend; though he wanted one, he wasn't letting that get him down. No, Valentine's Day held an important significance to not only Athrun, but everyone from his world. It was the anniversary of the third-most deadly attack against civilians in the history of his world, and one that affected him personally.

Athrun continued to walk, but he was unable to escape the Valentine's Day decorations and merchandise that was now popping up in stores all over the two regions. He just tried to focus on what he wanted to get done today and move on.]

None yet. I've only just started thinking about Valentine's Day.

Oh, that's alright! Valentine's Day isn't until a few weeks away anyhow. But it's important that you remember to eat lots of chocolate on that day, mister-- it's sweet and it'll make you feel happy!

Well, we'll see. I think that'll depend on how much I receive.

[ For a second, Kobato looks a little confused. And then she remembers! Girls were the ones supposed to give guys chocolate, right? ]

Thanks, but we'll see. A lot of my friends have returned home in the past few months.

Oh-- I see. [ Kobato doesn't have that much friends here yet, but she does understand how it feels like when the people you've met here go home. Like Mythos. ] If you're anywhere near Violet City, mister, I'd gladly give you some chocolate!

Aww, I see... [ She pouts a little at that, before smiling once again. ] Well, maybe when I'm finally in Goldenrod City and we see each other, I can make you chocolates then! Though it wouldn't be Valentine's Day anymore...

...You know, if you're really intent on sending me something, there's a Pidgey delivery service. They'll deliver to any place in Johto.

Of course I am. I want to give everybody chocolates! [ ...Okay, maybe not everybody, but she's going to try her best anyway! She wants to celebrate this year's Valentine's Day properly after all. ]
